Shape IATI’s future: 2nd Round Consultations on IATI’s Strategic Plan 2026-2030
As the world navigates rapid shifts in global development and humanitarian action, the need for transparency and accessible data has never been greater. To ensure IATI remains fit for the future, the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) is inviting its global community to take part in the next phase of consultations for IATI’s Strategic Plan 2026-2030.

Second round of consultations
This second round of consultations, running from 26 February to 14 March 2025, will explore what critical roles, services, and functions IATI should focus on over the next five years. All members of the IATI community — from governments and donors to data publishers, civil society, and data users — are encouraged to share their views and help shape the future of IATI.
Focus Areas for Consultation
The latest round of consultations will focus on three key roles for IATI, inviting participants to consider how these should evolve:
- IATI as a shared accountability platform
- IATI as a data platform
- IATI as a policy and service platform
Open, interactive discussions
The consultations are hosted on IATI Connect, IATI’s dedicated online community platform, where discussions take place in a moderated, interactive message board format. Participants can post their contributions, respond to others, and debate ideas in three themed discussion rooms dedicated to the platform, data, and policy roles IATI could play.

The discussions are open to all IATI stakeholders, and posts can be made in any language, with automatic translation.
