What is IATI Publisher?

IATI Publisher is an online tool for organisations who want to publish data on their development and humanitarian activities according to the IATI Standard. It is free and managed by the IATI Secretariat.

It is designed to be simple and intuitive, making publishing easier for organisations who want to manage their data via web forms in the interface.

IATI Publisher:

• Is free to use;
• Registers your organisation with IATI, without you needing to visit the IATI Registry;
• Provides clear explanations of data fields in the IATI Standard;
• Enables data to be entered directly in the interface or bulk imported via XLS, CSV or XML file;
• Runs your activity data through the IATI Validator before publishing, giving feedback on any validation errors.

Who is IATI Publisher for?

IATI Publisher is designed for small to medium-sized organisations who have a limited amount of IATI data to publish. Typically, this refers to organisations with less than 100 IATI activities. An ‘activity’ in IATI is an individual programme, project or other unit of development and humanitarian work, as defined by your organisation.

Large organisations, such as donor governments or UN agencies delivering 100+ activities, are advised not to use IATI Publisher. Alternative methods are recommended for the publication of large volumes of data. For more information, please contact us.
