On March 18, transparency and development finance experts from across Europe will convene to discuss and promote open data initiatives. This event offers a platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders committed to advancing transparency in development finance.

Co-organised by the European Commissions’ Directorate-General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA D1) and the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI), the event will provide a unique opportunity for EU Member States to assess Team Europe’s performance in fostering transparency in development cooperation and align on IATI’s critical role in this area.

The seminar will explore:

  • Why we need transparency in development cooperation, and why IATI matters
  • How are we doing on transparency? A Team Europe Approach
  • Practical approaches to publishing and data use
  • The challenges and opportunities for data quality
